nea enérgeia #5

nea energéia

nea enérgeia

galerie nea presents its new exhibition [nea enérgeia]. Painting, photography, linocut and ceramics are just some of the techniques forming an eclectic array of inspired creative proposals. Nea enérgeia means "new energy" in Greek. These are new works carried by a new energy that circulates at the heart of the gallery. Each artist has chosen to exhibit the works of his or her choice, a form of free hanging guided by their own universe.

The nea selection is enriched by the works of Matthieu Pialoux. His colorful, architectural oil compositions of objects and landscapes respond to each other in complete freedom. His "travel diaries" bear witness to the journeys and places he has visited.

Laura Vals' new ink and acrylic series "L'abondance": a graphic and fragile abundance held together by a structure that forms a balance. Between destructured forms and calligraphy, three paintings from the "Cartes Postales" series join the works exhibited by the artist. Revealing the names of places, this series combines bright colors and calligraphy invented by the artist.

Laurence Biaggi's photographs from the "In Praise of Simplicity" series take us to Corsica and Brazil. With her singular, poetic eye, the photographer captures moments of life and landscapes from the four corners of the globe.

Discover or rediscover Emma Iks' linocuts. Produced on Kraft paper or antique supports of various kinds, his work is easily recognizable. His "Robot" series and his works inspired by Mali epitomize the artist's style: raw, angular and uncluttered.

Patricia Doutrilla's Palm Springs series takes its name from a trip she made to the city of the same name. This series of drawings picks up on the codes of Californian architectural houses and iconic furniture from the 70s, adorned with tropical plant elements. For this exhibition, a new drawing has been added to the artist's series.

Creations by Emmanuel Aixala, Amélie Dauteur, Kuti Martinez and Ligne Sauze are still on show at the gallery.

A collective exhibition, with eclectic proposals by passionate artists... at the heart of the nea spirit.
